• CDDB and freedb: An article about several systems that allows CD player software to look up (or submit) information about music compact discs over the Internet, and the CDValet software I use. Features a 2003 update.
  

• CD Rot (aka Disc Bronzing): An article about CD rot: what it is, what discs are affected, and how to get replacement CDs. Includes a several images of a discs showing the discolouration of CD rot. Features a 2004 update, with commentary about an Associated Press article about CD and DVD deterioration.
  Updated for 2007, with the news that the current owners of the PDO plant that produced these defective CDs is no longer offering replacments.

• Cut-Out and Promo CDs Explained: My attempt to explain cut-out and promotional CDs. Includes many images of these discs. A 2003 update was added to the original article from 1998.
  

• CD Collecting Links: A list of links that didn't fit in any of the above pages, such as other web sites on CD collecting, online recording guides, and sites for publications on this subject. Also some sites about different specializations within CD collecting (classical, audiophile discs, soundtracks, etc.).
